In personal self discovery you meet new people, make connections and commit yourself to new communities.  This week I was officially adopted as a member of the Gallery Gachet Collective.  The Gallery is located in Gastown in the Downtown East Side of Vancouver and is an artist run center. In the 15 plus years of existence they have done some amazing work and have always tried to advocate for the marginalized and support the groups in the community.

It is a good feeling to know when a community formally embraces you and invites you in.  This is also another step in my development as an artist.  I am certain it is the right place for me right now and am excited about the possibilities.  However, most importantly is that I will be around some very inspiring individuals and artists.   My personal goal is to progress as an artist and if I ever leave the Gallery  I would want it better than from when I first entered.  Please come visit me anytime, its a new home for me now.
