Singed, is representative of the how the arrival of the Olympics has impacted  some of the values that make up this country. The maple leaf a stereotypical Canadian icon and a nature element that I weave within my work.  Whether it is homelessness, health funding, the arts or other social programs, will the flame put these at risk? Time will tell, but this is how I view it today, I definitely feel the heat.
